The Yale Drama Series is a yearly competition for emerging playwrights all over the world. The winner of this competition will be awarded the David Charles Hon Prize of $10,000, also the publication of their manuscript by Yale university press and stage performance.
ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENTS
—The competition is restricted to plays written in the English language.
—Submissions are accepted from any part of the world.
—Your play must be a minimum of 65 pages, must be original and unpublished.
Plays with less and 65 pages will not be considered.
—Only manuscripts authored by one playwright are eligible.
—Plays that have been published or produced are not eligible.
—Play must be typed and page numbered.

Electronic Submission
While submitting your play electronically, you ought to omit your name and contact information from your manuscript and submission filename.
Enter the title of your play, your name, contact information, e-mail address, residential address, and a brief but distinct biography where indicated in the electronic submission form.

Hardcopy Submission
The Yale Drama Series competition urges applicants to submit their scripts electronically but also accepts hard copies.
For hard copy submission, the manuscript must begin with a title page that shows the play’s title, your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.
Include a brief biography at the end of the manuscript on a separate page.
Do not bind or staple the manuscript.
NOTE: Manuscript submitted cannot be returned after the competition.
